Lavender and vanilla are calming scents, while citrus and mint are invigorating scents. Experiment with different blends to see what you prefer. You can actually buy essential oils and create your own custom bath blend by combining a few drops of each in a carrier oil like jojoba or apricot oil. This works great as a massage oil as well.

Bath and Body Works is one of the most popular and accessible places to buy your home spa products. Of course you could also buy your products directly from a day spa, but beware of the oversell.
